In order to baptize your son in the Catholic Church, you, your husband, and the Catholic godparents need to promise to raise your son as a Catholic.

Your marriage does not need to be blessed in the Catholic Church and you do not need to be confirmed.

If you are planning to raise your son as a Catholic, you will want to set a good example and should think about having your marriage blessed by the Church and receiving the sacrament of Confirmation.

Both of this actions are relatively easy to do before or after the baptism. Call your parish office.

With love in Christ.

How old is the child? If he is an infant you need to be a Catholic. If he is older, say around 6 or more years old then he would need to attend religious classes for himself and decide.

you probably just need to make an appointment with the pastoral office of your parish. Different parishes may handle the sacraments differently.
