contentment
happy is being content with who you are and where you are at.....even if you want to make changes, it is the acceptance of your life right here, right now and finding the joy in a situation.

Happy is momentary, I was happy when I was on my way home Friday after work or I was happy lying in bed all Saturday morning with my husband. I don't think anyone can be happy all the time. Right now I'm not sad but I'm not happy like it is Friday at 4:00pm with a weekend just beginning. After all it is Sunday and tomorrow is Monday. Anyway, what I am is content and if people tried to attain contentment they would find more moments of happiness.

For me, happiness is a choice. No matter what the circumstances, I can choose whether I want to look on them with a smile or a frown. For example, right now I am a highschool student with good grades. I could choose to be happy that I have a good education and a great family, or I could choose to be unhappy that my parents don't have a lot of money, I have a bad complexion, and I'm overwhelmed with homework. It's also part of accepting who you are. I am happy right now because I wouldn't trade my family and circumstances for anything in the world, because I know if I were someone else I would just have a different set of blessings and hardships.

Happiness is being content with what you have. Attaching people to one's quest for happiness is a sure way to be disappointed. Happiness is a goal and not a destination... a journey.
“Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own.”
“Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible.”
“Happiness is like a cloud, if you stare at it long enough, it evaporates”
“Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed.”
“Happiness is like perfume: You can't give it away without getting a little on yourself.”
“I've learned that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.”

My definition of happy is when you feel good about yourself and what you are doing with your life.
It's not always easy to feel happy, but sometimes I feel happy after eating chocolate, sad part is that it only makes me happy for a few minutes while i'm eating it :)

Happiness is loving what you have in your life. It requires us to be patient, not greedy or spoiled, and understanding. I think these are difficult things to accomplish.

Contentment with what you have, are striving for, and what you are,
I also count it as the hardest thing to find, and the easiest thing to lose.
