try this.....google.com......enter computers/electronic, donations, maybe even enter your city and state. all in the same search entry. I have a PC myself to donate.........I think I can even get a tax deduction. Which reminds me. The Salvation Armyor Goodwill used to give donation receipts for clothing. All for a Tax deduction. I bet they would take a donation and give a tax credit receipt.

charities dont want to be bothered with "things". They just want cash. Even charity shops, have volunteers, to accept, handle, and sell, the tacky "things", then the Money, is handled by the paid vastness of managers, who look after shop rent, avertising, volunteer management, and "nice" things, as people in thier position should. Sometimes, when theyve played manager (charity workers, are management failures from the real world) some cash, often as much as 1% reaches a good cause.

Maybe. You could try asking at your local charity shop. If none of them take them, you could take them down to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre (i.e. your local tip / civic amenity site / whatever else your council call it), where they'll take them. Unless items are completely trashed they sell them on to people who come round and buy old / not quite working electrical goods. The money doesn't go to charity though, it goes to whichever company runs the site.

Charities generally dont take them as they have to certify safety and the cost of that is more than the item is worth.

The local dump will have bins for things like toasters, irons etc which i guess then get recycled.
