as a rule dogs have incredibly good hearing !
your dog is probably ,talking to a dog in another neighborhood .
Or he has heard a mouse or rat running across the yard .
your other dog, is too comfortable to chat , or maybe a little deaf .
LOL!
I don't think dog would just bark at an evil spirit , they are too smart for that.
I have 3 dogs and they sometimes bark at a plane,
going over at 3am ! ( we live on a flight path ).
or even get incensed if a neighborhood cat has an argument with another .
and if somebody strange ,dares to walk down our road in the dead of night
That is how dogs talk .

overlook it - Halloween did no longer come early this twelve months. Your dogs has a reason to bark. it ought to be that your dogs is in an unfamiliar place OR as a results of fact canines have such acute listening to that he's sounding off at a raccoon, coyote, fox, deer and so on. between 12 and 6 -- it somewhat is while the nocturnal animals peruse their territory.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/gHn00
If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.
It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

Dogs have very sensitive ears. He's not barking at an evil spirit. He can probobly just see/hear something you can't. Don't worry about it and if it's really annoying bring him inside.

Dogs can hear things you can't. I used to use a silent dog whistle to make the dog upstairs bark.
