We have well water, it has dried out my hair and made it frizzy. I have used all the products on the market, what can I do for as little money as possible?

Well water generally is high in mineral content, though the mineral makeup varies depending on where you are located. Try putting a water filter on your showerhead. If you can't find one or they are too expensive, try rinsing your hair once a week with vinegar. It helps to break down mineral deposits that mix with soap and other products on your hair to form a hard-to-remove film which could be making your hair frizzy. Rub the vinegar (apple cider vinegar works particularly well) well into your scalp and work it through the rest of the hair, gently rolling the strands between your fingers to help get the vinegar distributed. Let it sit for about 3 minutes, then rinse with cool water and apply a good leave in conditioner (like Infusium 23). After you dry your hair, rub a little anti frizz serum between your palms and smooth through your hair. This should help eliminate any stray frizzies for the day.

If you have long hair, get a trim/cut. This will take of split ends, a common reason of frizzy hair. Also, at the nearest convenience store, find a smoother, usually in a small bottle. Rub it on your hands, then on your hair. Say bu-bye to frizz!
