I'm not entirely sure, but I remember someone saying that it's the color of the gases that make up our atmosphere. With light coming through it and miles of gas, it appears blue. Similar to water being clear if you see it up close and blue when it's deep.

cuz GOD made it that way. the scientist says something about oxygen, hydrogen, and other crap, idk. but i can tell you why water is blue!!
