"French" frying actually refers to a process of frying them twice. The first time at 325 degrees for 4-5 minutes to cook them all the way through. Drain them well - you can even let them cool a bit. Fry a second time at 375 degrees for about 2 minutes to make them golden and crunchy.

Finally some one make french fries and deep frying them best thing is to cook at 450 let oil heat 15 mins then put them in for 2 mins take them out let stand and put back down that shocks them and makes them come out extra crisy and turn golden brown and so tasty

It really depends on how fast you want them to get done. 350 is the norm for most people. It is important not to overload the basket, and it should take between 6-8 minutes to cook through. The general rule is, "when it floats, its done"

Put a white tipped kitchen match in the grease, when it lights take it out with thongs. Put in the fries for five to eight minutes.
