I don't think it really has to do with pounds, but with inches. If you are exercising, and burning fat and gaining lean muscle, your weight may not go down significantly, but your inches in circumference would.

This has been my experience. I've been pretty much the same weight for the past 14 years(give or take 5lb), but my size has gone up and down as much as 6 sizes, depending on my level of activeness and the leanness of my muscles.

It's not the pounds, it's the inches....I have lost 20 lbs and not changed a size at all....that's why you have to increase your activity level as well as diet. Good luck!

Well it depends, because some pants sizes have only 1 inch difference and some 2 inches. To lose one inch would be approximately 5lb-7lb and to lose two inches would be about 10lb-15lb. HTH : )

It varies from person to person... For me, it's 5 lbs for every inch off my waist.

It all depends on your shape. And if youre exercising you wont nessicarily lose weight, muscle weighs more than fat.
