The best diet for a month old puppy is it's mother's milk.
It's still too young to be away from her. Where did you get such a young puppy? An irresponsible breeder?
Anyway, puppies should be at least 6 weeks, at the very youngest, before they're taken away from mom.
But what's done is done. You have to feed the puppy every two hours or so. Regular milk is not good for it's stomach. You need to get puppy milk from either a pet store or your vet.
God, good luck.

Milk is bad for dogs. You can get "just born" or "esbilac" at a pet store which is a supplement made for puppies, but at the age of one month, you should be able to add this supplement to a canned or dry food. I would recommend Nature's Recipe puppy food, Venison, or wild game brands. OR Royal Canine makes a good dog food too. German Shepherds are often prone to allergies and sensitive stomach and that is why I recommend these foods. Milk, like people drink, can cause dogs to get diarrhea.

Well I would assume that the mother is not available for the pup to feed. This pup is to little for hard food even if it is softened with water his stomach is not ready yet. Go to the vet right away and they will tell you what type of formula to use. You will have to bottle feed the pup quite often. The vet will tell you the best way to proceed. Good luck!

Just buy a good quality puppy food for Large Breed Puppies. Too much calcium can cause problems:calcium must be taken together with vit. D and Phosphorus to work correctly(i take calcium) don't buy calcium separately:you could overdose the pup:Go to the pet store, and check for puppy food made especially for large breed pups. Check for :Canidae,Wellness,Merrick's,Orijen

At a month old, she should be with her mom, and nursing. Why was she separated so early. Milk is very bad for your puppy. If she can't be placed back with her mom you need to get a puppy formula and feed her with that until she is weaned.

Who on earth gave you a one month old puppy! He should still be with his mother, he's not even weaned yet!
If he's orphaned, you need puppy milk from the pet store.

Where is the mother??
Um, i would either go to "Bosleys" or another pet food place... "Super Pet" etc.
If you do not go by advice from them. PLZ go to the vet.. you do not want to kill this dog.
**You should be feeding him/her atleast like every few hrs.. i think, but yes.. u HAVE to go get help, and/or go to yr vet!!
