can anyone tell me if a box of confections sugar is the same size as a bag of sugar '
or at least the amount in a box so i can compare .
the recipe calls for a box and we only have bags here thanks a lot

*Usually* a box of confectioner's sugar is one pound, and a bag of confectioner's sugar is equal to two pounds.

Box or bag should say how many ounces (oz) it is

16 oz is one pound (usually the size a box is I think)

that's equal to two cups.

According to the boxes in my cabinet....a box of confectioners sugar is 1lb.

The bags OUGHT to have the weight stamped on them. Take a closer look.
