Why do men become such losers and dead-beat fathers? Why don't some men love their children?

good question i asked the same thing,,,ask those who promote it in the "new Generation" rap music promotes delinquency and the getto mentality like its hip and cool to be irresponsible and sleep around with no responsiblity,,,not to mention the new hollywood promotes these things. Go to a video store pick out oldtime movies and you`ll get a clue how people treated each other during the old days.Sure they were in the great depression but people had more common sense back then. Lets not mention the womens liberation was good in the beginning but now women are not respected anymore.Women don`t complain about porno. like they did when i was a kid. Now they want to become pornstars instead.Jesus said it will be like the days of lot,,like sodom and gommorah.

Why do Women become such losers and dead-beat mothers? Why don't some women love their children. Why do they suffocate them with pillows or push their cars into lakes with the kids stapped in, in the back seats? Why do men get the bad wrap when women kill their own children everyday?

I know such a 'father', he provides money, and nothing more...Left his three small children for another woman who was living with someone else...His youngest was six months old...I believe anyone who read my question, knows who I am talking about. I can only say that for this 'parent', he is so self-consumed, and has such low self esteem, that he must justify his actions at any cost so not to take the bridge, oh, wait, he tied that twice..Council doesn't work, best for all, mostly the children, for him to stay away. That may sound harsh, but believe me, for the best. Find another "MAN" to fulfill any needs, and do the best as a single mother. :)

Because they weren't held enough as children. Because they are soulless life's. But instead of focusing on that negativity we as women provide and have no choice but to take on both rolls. And basically interview before we get into these relationships, to see who is good for our children. See men are so recent full. They either have very indulgent parents that made him a selfish brat or they are still upset they didn't have a father or a roll model as they were growing up. Therefore they can provide that responsibility.(LOOSE RS) We on the other hand don't have a choice because we do have that unconditional love.

Don't lump them all in one...not fair. Maybe if women would get married to the man then ask him if he would like a child things would change. Expecting a man to pay for a child he did not want is wrong. Ya ya don't give me the "it takes 2" because who ends up carrying and raising the child if he didree to it. The majority of men would love their children if given the chance and the mommas didn't make it sooo difficult to see them and bond. It's called maturity and responsibility.

That's so sad that you have to feel like that. It's true, there are a alot of deadbeat "parents" period. A lot of children are being raised by their grandparents because of this. Something that we as grandparents didn't sign on for...
Anyway.....I know it must be hard whatever situation you're in, but you must look at the bright side for the child. My 13 year old son's Dad lives 7 lousy miles away and he has no relationship with him whatsoever. I have him in a Mentor program which is a wonderful way for him to get other adult guidance and support.
There are lots of programs out there for kids to keep there minds not only off of drugs, but the fact that their parent(s) aren't there for them..

from personal experience, my ex is a dead beat. from just knowing his side of the family...he was never taught how a man should be.

his mother married 5 times, one of which was not legal. when she was bored, she would dump the guy and find some one else.

a lot of the behavior now is based on how they were raised/taught.

that is my opinion. his mother babied him, he never held a job when we were married. he did before i met him, but after we married, his suddenly 'lost' his job. he wanted me to wait on him hand and foot. when i refused, he threw fits, violent fits.

i saw his mother do that once to her husband, and got what she wanted. so from what i saw, he learned his bad behavior of not taking responsibility from his mother.

the other statistics? i don't know. but that is what i think on some of them.

they are just not being taught correctly. the lack of real love in the home as they grew up - to me is a key factor.

Why do women hook up with these sperm donors and think these guys are going to change? There's plenty of lousy mothers out there, too. It's not a gender issue.

Because they only like to have sex, they don't realize that children come as a result of sex, and thats why they are frustrated when kids become more important than having sex.
