It is called Pachabel's Canon in D Major - Wedding March.
I don't usually go for classical songs but it made me cry and still does everytime i hear it. When i look at my other half i just feel all the love i have for him and he has for me.
If you can find it listen to it or if you know i would be grateful for opinions and feelings.

To Nanny - As for it being ubiquitous - it depends what version you use.
Thanks anyway - Take care.
To all others that say this may be a silly questions it is purely to see peoples views on a beautiful song - overall i know it is my choice and i don't need people to remind me of that.
Thanks anyway

It is absolutely beautiful! It's definitely the song for you if it makes you cry like that! Sort of like when your fiance proposed to you... you just knew he was the one for you, I am sure :o) So definitely go with the song. Any song that moves you like that is "the song!"
Congratulations on your engagement!!! Enjoy every second of planning... it's so much fun!

My sister is getting married next April and she picked this song out at the weekend for her processional.
It's absolutely beautiful and the harpist she's organised has done a fantastic job arranging the music for the harp.
I highly recommend it, and like yourself, I shed a tear or two listening to it.
Best of luck with the plans and the big day!

I too love this song and feel the same way you do. I have chosen this song to be done at our wedding in person by a friend of ours who plays the piano.
I think it will be very beautiful in your wedding. Good luck on your special day!!

Millions of women all over the world have used the song. It is totally beautiful, but lately it's become ubiquitous.

Beautiful song. It was played when my bridesmaids walked the aisle. Now everytime I hear that song, I think of that day, and how I felt (and usually tear up). If you like it, go for it. It's your day, and if you think it's perfect than just go for it! Good Luck and Congrats.

Know this piece very well, been enjoying it for many years. If this is the piece that you want, then go for it. It is your wedding. You do not need my, nor anyone else's approval to have the best day of your life. Very best wishes ' J '

Its a very traditional song for weddings. Probably the number one song used for the processional.
