In the last year I found Novus Spiritus. It's Gnostic Christianity. The unique and fulfulling thing I've found in Novus Spiritus is the acknowledgement of Mother God and Father God. The combination of male and female properties, the complete yin and yang. All people are made of intellect and emotion. Patriarchal religions have focused us mostly on intellect, leaving emotion to be desired. With Novus Spiritus you must question all things and follow what rings true in your own heart. It is a religion without dogma. Simply a guiding factor to help you on your journey through this life. You are here to learn, grow, and perfect aspects of your soul through experience.
I believe the common ground in all faiths in to live a good life. There are many ways people express what they think is good and pleasing to God, but in the end, I think it all comes down to being a good person. This is possible with or without religion, whether you have faith in a creator, or think this is it here and now. I believe all good people will go to Heaven, The Other Side, a wonderful place with God in the end. It doesn't matter what you believe or how often you pray. What matters is that you are good to those around you.

I am a non-practicing Catholic. The problem wasn't so much with the church itself as it was with some of the people there and the clergy--I noticed too much hypocrisy and contradiction--and back-biting even. The final straw came when my mother died and I felt like the priest was a total jerk about Church dogma and the way her funeral had to be handled because she was buried on Good Friday. A little tact, diplomacy, and a small explanation would have gone a long way. I still believe in God, though I don't talk to him much. All the thou shalt nots I learned as a child at Catholic school have pretty much convinced me that if I'm not going to church I'm totally screwed anyway. I do pray for other people, though--I figure God will listen to those prayers because they aren't for me. Yeah, messed up, I know.

It is about relationship not religion. The Bible is the only God inspired truth. The koran is a lie written by a man who was having grand mall seizures and is dead. The word of God never contradicts itself so how could the koran be a part of it since the koran denies that Jesus, or Yeshua, is the only begotten Son of God and the only way to heaven where those who are ready will go to worship God for eternity not to get virgins and wine.da
May the true God bless you as you search.

Get a better understanding of YOU, YOURSELF and in doing so, you will find the answers to you question.

For openers, try figuring out where you came from before you came here. Or, where will you go to when you leave this place.

Better still, why any of this? This coming (Born), being here for a while and then leaving! Why, for what reason?

Nothing humans do matter to anything that is. So why Humans?

You will need some sort of what ever kind of religion to find out those answers.

I am a Jew. Judaism is about working together with God to finish His creation. We don't agonize about the afterlife -- we're too busy trying to improve the quality of everyone's life here on earth today. All people are equal -- no special rewards (or punishments) for anyone.
Yes, I think most religions are about morals and ethics of living together in communities.

"Is it possible that all religions are a different view of the same thing?"

You just said it. In our minds, to me, this is the best answer. But also look at it this way: We have a limited intelect.
