No. They would ban religious violence, or outlaw the idea that violent people could call themselves religious. And so even soldiers from the US could not pray for strength before going into battle.
I have a personal assignment for you that will help you understand the situation. If you want better understanding, do this: meet a Chaplain who is in the US military and ask how many different prayers and blessings he or she needs to know to be qualified for the position. All your pieces will suddenly fall into place. The US is not a Christian nation even though many Christians live here and are good Americans. We are not at war against Islam or against Muslims. We are at war against terrorists who have been taught to wrongfully think that God approves of murder. It is easy to get caught up in someone else's brainwashing, isn't it? Make the bold move away from the thought-patterns of the trainers of terrorists and think like a person of God. Or at least a person of conscience.

This is a very pointed question. I think they would have banned Muslims out of fear. Most of the people that came to the U.S. didn't have very strong relations with Muslim nations anyway. I think that the ban that you are talking about was probably already in affect anyway.

Are you feeling a little fearful of Muslims? The only way they would ever be banned from the States is if Muslim terrorists used a nuke.

I think that the intention of the Founding Fathers was to allow free exercise of religion, regardless of what it was. You see, they were fleeing from a tyrannical theocracy that was modeled after the Roman Empire. The rule was "tax, tax, tax" and "worship in the state-authorized church or else". Back then, the so-called "cancers" were simple Bible-believing folk who had to hide out in the mountains to escape persecution.
Our problem today is that our nation has turned its back on God, so God has withdrawn His providence and allowed evil men to attack us. I guess He figures that since we teach our children that we came from monkeys, we tolerate and encourage sodomy, we murder 4 million of tomorrow's adults every year, we warehouse and euthanize our parents, and we hate our brothers at every turn, that we deserve whatever we get.
If you'll read in the Old Testament, you'd notice that every time the Jewish nation turned back to God, they were incredibly blessed, and no other nations could defeat them, no matter how much larger their armies were. But when they turned away from God, they lost that providence and suffered greatly. Maybe we should take a hint.

There is nothing wrong with Muslims. We have learned nothing about them that should cause them to be banned. There are extreemist in Muslim and Christian religions. These are probably the people you are referring to. They make up a small percentage of the people of either religion.

I see the haters are slithering out from their slimy pits once more. It must be Sunday.

You must not have much respect for the writers of the Constitution if you think them capable of such misinformed stupidity. They were educated men, which is more than can be said about you.

And, what do we know about them now? Most people only know what they hear and read thru the media, or what stupid people say about them.

And, no, they would not be banned. So many of our forefathers were not Christians, as Evangelicals would like for you to believe. They were Deists-believing in G-d, but not Christianity. To name two, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, and I could go on and on. They believe in religious freedom.

Learn something before you start mouthing off, please.

What do we know about 'them'?

I know that there are some that are militant. But my friend they are not the only ones. By history, Christians have also gone after other religions with the sword. And it wasn't because they were on the verge of extinction. It was because people did not wish to convert.

Prove me wrong. You cannot.
