Just wondering, but why do you get goose bumps?

it happens when you are cold. fat comes up around your hair folicles like on your arms and make little bumps. fat keeps you warm.

Left over from a time when our ancestors had a lot more hair. With that extra hair, goose bumps would stand a creature's fur straighter and provide thicker/more insulation.

Simple as that.

I don't know, but what I do know is when i get cold, even my goosebumps have goosebumps on them..does that happen to you too?
