Over the summer I got a curly perm, and now I don't want it. I don't have alot of time to get it straight again, but do you know any DIY ways to get my hair completely straight. Whenever I straighten it, it just turns out fryed, frizzy, and puffy. I need to get it straight by tomorrow for a wedding and the curly/puffyness is out of control.

I had the same problem, and the only thing that keeps my hair straight is a bit of work and patience with it.

I wash and dry my hair, and then comb it it with a fine tooth comb. Apply a defrizzing and straigtening cream such as L'Oreal Paris studio line HOT Straight. Then I seperate it into sections that are easy to work with so that I am only handling a little area at a time. Comb the section again and spray with V05 miracle mist...then use a straightening iron occasionally combing through it.

A lot of time and kind of tedious, but it keeps your hair straight and not near as frizzy as if you do it without the product. I know that this works with mine, and I hope it helps!!!

I've seen things that remove perms...you might have to go to a beauty supply store, like Sally or something. I mean, they reverse the perm. If you put it in, there has to be something to take it back out, right?

Try that--otherwise, go for an updo or something...all that straightening will just wreck your hair and make it frizzy and poofy and you'll hate it more. I've only gotten my hair really straight by a good blowout or those straightening brush things and like, zero humidity days and hair junk, straightening stuff...ugh. Too much work for not enough payoff. But my hair's curly and sometimes, I just wish it were straight. I know the feeling, trust me! See if there's a reversal formula.

i think your hair is prob a little stressed from the perm. the perm will fall out with in the next few months. but if you need results right away try using a hair mask or a really good leave on moisturizer. if you go to Sally's Beauty Supply Store they have a really good cholesterol treatment for your hair. they also have many really good re-constructors.

heres the website it you would like to check it out before hand, so you can get an idea of what your looking for!

another thing. i have naturally curly/frizzy hair and the only thing that has ever worked for me, as far as getting it straight w/o frizz, is the "chi"! its a really good straightening iron. its a little pricey but its def worth it! it works like magic!

if you cant get your hair straightened how you would like it, maybe try some curling products. there's alot of products out there that will enhance your curls but keep them frizz free. when i want to wear mine curly i use tresemme mousse, either thickening mousse or curl enhancing mousse, on my damp hair and then let it air dry.

i hope i was able to help you some. good luck!

There is not much that you can really do about it and I would not put further chemicals on my hair to straighten it

Why dont you go down a different path and wash and roller set your hair in small - medium sized rollers and then wear your hair in a curled updo for the wedding, It will be a lot easier that going through all the hastle of trying to straigthen your hair

easiest way to do it yourself at home is to go and buy a perm that is safe for previously permed hair..follow the directions on the box but do not put in rods. apply solution and come straight..continue combing straight throw the timing process..rinse and apply neutralizer..again comb straight for five minutes and rinse...should remove most of (if not all) of the curl and less harsh than a chemical straightener..
