I used to put in so so much more than I ever got back..BUT that's OK..really it is...
I used to stop in the rain to help anyone stuck with their car..and some said thank you and some just drove of..OH well..that's OK..
but I have slowed down on my giving lately..to many nuts that do real harm to people who stop and help out on the side of the road...to sad for the real person who needs help..
but fro neighbors I still help. and little old ladies ALWAYS do...
it is good for you to do stuff even if you do not get anything from it...
it is good for everyone do this...
smile
good luck

I do, but oneway only. I'll explain. If I obtain, or I'm given something good (could be an object, a thought, a compliment, a nice attitude, etc...) I do try to reciprocate and to "pay" that person back offering him the same gratitude.

Yet if I'm harmed, blessed or attacked by someone, whether I reciprocate or not it depends. I actually believe that all sins are payed in this life, no need of hell indeed. Let me give you an example. There's this guy to whom I lent 200 dollars, with a promise of a prompt pay-back. I did ask for my money a couple of times later, with yet another promise of postponement.

This guy is now broke (he declared personal bankruptcy for tax purposes) and his wife left him. He is jobless at the moment. So I decided to forgive him and forget about those 200$ I lost. No need for me to revenge anymore, since life has put him in his place.

Yes. We all reap what we sow. When we offer the world and the people within it the best of ourselves we reap the rewards in so many ways.

I operate on the law of GOD. That is to esteem others above yourself. It is like reciprocity without expecting anything back.

May GOD richly bless you.

I used to feel that way. Most think I'm a pretty idealist, fairy tale believing sort. I try though, with what I have to offer.
