Devil's Day?
IT'S NOT DEVIL'S DAY!!!
Halloween is a PAGAN HOLIDAY, and Pagans DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE DEVIL!!!
Furthermore, in the USA, it is HIGHLY commercialized.

I loved it when I was a kid, and I don't want to give it up. I may not be able to go trick-or-treating anymore, but it's the one day a year that you can dress up as a genie or an astronaut or whatever you want, and they won't take you to a mental hospital.

The idea that its devils day is just a bunch of crap not based on any history the day comes from an old custom of honoring and remembering the dead.

It's Samhain, which marks the completion of a cycle of the Wheel of the Year. Non-Pagans "celebrate" it because it makes a lot of money for private companies.

No one refers to it as Devil's Day! It has nothing to do with your Devil! The original celebration is about warding off evil and preparing for the coming winter.

Well, it actually was called 'Samhain' (pronounced 'so-in') before others came along and changed it. I know that for my community it is the time of year when the veil between this world and the Spirit world is the thinnest. Best time of year for being close to those who have 'passed on'.
