I would like 2 hear from people who do not base their spirituality on religion, its scripture, rituals, traditions, etc.

If u want 2 tell me Jesus saves & u have a personal relationship with him or that u know the LDS church is the 1 true church- that's ok, I respect that, & I am happy u have found something that works for u. Thank u for sharing your testimony. However, it won't be much help to me. I am looking for something I haven't heard before.

Please, don't assume that because I am not a believer, I am unfamiliar with the bible or the BOM & their teachings. I am very knowledgable about the bible (studied it for 20 years) & I have read the BOM many times. It won't really help 2 hear more about them.

Thanks 2 everyone who shares. Sorry I am so guarded. People in my community r very zealous about their religion & think anyone who does not believe is dead wrong. I really just want to hear from people who are not into religions.

Thank you

i do not believe in the christian, catholic ways. The bible to me is a good story. Im not saying Jesus was make believe, I just dont think he is our "Lord and Savior". I have faith...thats it. I believe in being good to all people...I believe in love. I belive in myself...I believe that when we die, we face ourselfs. And if we were bad through our life and caused harm to others we will have to face that and feel it all when we die. That is what I think "hell" is. I am not athiest because I believe that everyone is their own god. The closet religion I can compare my self to is Buddism...but even there I find some things I do not believe in. I believe that our souls always go on because we just are...hope this helped a bit

I was raised Catholic, consider myself Christian, although after all the experiences I been through, and all I witnessed, I sincerly believe and feel I don't need to be in a religion, and I don't try to put any down, because God does work in them all, I go to any type Church that I feel God leads me too, and I get along with all of them, although I will not join a Church at this time, unless God gives me the OK.
I AM SPIRITUAL, I am who I am, who God made me to be, I had this ability since I can remember, and knew who God was too, God and the Spirits have always been around to protect me, I am living only because God has plans. Yes I have seen Ghost and Spirits from Heaven, they communicate and help me and my son, at times I connect, mostly to do with prayers, I now believe I have much more than one gift, healings is another through Jesus Christ.
I truly know and believe that you don't need to be in a religion or go to Church to communicate with God, it's openness, and spiritual, compassion in prayers sincereness and perhaps to do with a pure heart, I am not the one to say if I have the pure heart, perhaps God truly only knows.

I still think about all the big questions, like death, life, destiny, higher powers BUT I can't trust easy answers, like looking into the bible and then be very pleased with an answer "just b/c the bible says so".
I believe it's a bit up to everyone to learn how to think, reflect, read different sorts of facts and litterature, and after that form their own theories about it all - not to find the easiest answers (i.e. somebody else's answers) written by people hundreds of years ago.

There is a bright light within all of us. That light is our little piece of God. It is what we were born with. This how I meet my Spiritual needs. And I am always questioning...always searching.

And I am happy .
