To help you relax if your are tense or stressed (like in your neck or shoulders)?

I think it is necessary to place something weighted on the shoulders, for example those neck collars the ancient Egyptians wore; something may have happened astrologically that caused the shoulders to feel this strange anxiety in them all the time. Wish I had one of those!

For example I feel so relaxed and grounded when I go to the dentist and they put that big heavy apron-smock on me for the xray--it really gets my feet/self to be more firmly standing/sitting on the ground/earth

heat and rest are good for neck and shoulder stress. So is massage. If you sit at a desk all day, get up frequently and walk around. Do some mild stretching exercises.

Relax. Try to resolve your issues. Soak in the tub with warm to hot water with some stress relief oil. Heating pads may help too. Massage or rub the area. Accupuncture may help too.

I tightly grip the mucsles on either side of my neck for 10 seconds then let go... like put your thumb and forfinger on each side of your neck at the base of your skull and squeeze as hard as you can stand it. when you release it, it will feel a ton better. its a pressure point. You can do the same on your shoulders. or have someone do it for you.
