Well, based on some of the responses here, my sister's marriage is invalid because she and her hubby chose not to have kids, (he had the vasectomy), and I learned that men and women don't ever partake in anal sex, (guess all those hetero pornos have that wrong), and my grandmother shouldn't remarry, because she's in her 70's and can't bear children.
Wow - people are freakin' strange in what they think. It always amazes me, though it shouldn't.

Marriage is a religous ceremony found in the Bible. The Bible also says that Homosexauality is an abomination. This is why it should not be allowed. Also, what will be the next step? Where will it stop? Can a man marry a 17 year old boy, or maybe 16, how about 15? Heterosexual people can? The gay community claims thier rights are being vioilated. No, they aren't, a gay man can marry anybody that a hetro man can marry? They want extra rights.

Marriage is a man and a women being joined together to become one and having children is a normal outcome. To deny one handicapped in the childbearing part does not nullify marriage to those who are handicapped not does this change what the institution of marriage is. No one can deny sex between same sexes is not normal. Any child who took biology understands how a man and a women are designed specially to have this relationship and others are not. Even as using this relationship between same sexes is not normal so marriage between same sexes is not normal. That's just the way it is.

1. Having children or not is completely the couple's choice.
2. Couples usually discuss it out before going for such operations. There's always a reason behind it.
3. Even men can be the reason for not having babies.
4. Elderly people basically marry for companionship rather than children and sex.
5. That's something to do with fate.
However, same sex marriages are wrong and an excuse to cover up a major sin. If no religion allows it then why are laws being passed?

Reproduction has nothing whatsoever to do with it. The homosexual lifestyle is wrong simply because God ordained heterosexual relationships. He designed male/female relationships and called homosexual relationships an abomination, meaning that he despises it - period. He made us as He chose and determined what is right and what is wrong. As Christians, we should hate anything that God calls sin, and without arrogance. But we should always love the sinner without judging them.

Reproductive potential is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to opposing homosexual "marriage". And yes, a heterosexual marriage that is closed to the possibility of children - by choice, not by anatomical defect - may well be invalid.

I think your asking your question to the wrong people, because if its directed towards religious people well we're against gay marriages because the bible says its wrong and being a christian I believe EVERYTHING written in my bible.

All gays can't have children! But in general almost all heterosexual couples can have children. So you can't compare in this way.

wow....you have a lot of time on your hands....I can't really oppose something I don't have control of like in #3 or #5
And I don't care what anyone does (gay or straight) as long as they don't try to push what they believe on me or it hurts someone else!

We (america) should allow Gay marrage. Why should straight people oppose it? It dosent affect them at all! If you dislike gay marrage then DONT DO IT, but dont try to tell some other guy he cant get married cause you dont like it.....Its none of your buisness who he choses to be with!
