According to Science, everything is made up of molecules. Cells are made up of molecules. Molecules are made up of atoms. Atoms are made up of protons, electrons, and neutrons.

So, in reality, isn't everything just a mass of protons, electrons, and neutrons?

I can't phrase the rest of my questions having to do with this correctly, so...

... feelings, thoughts?

What does this make you think of? How does this make you feel? It makes me feel rather... useless, in a way. And kind of... just... odd.

Why should this make you feel useless? It is the combination of proton, electrons, and neutrons that make you who you are. Just because all things are made up of these small particles doesn't mean that it is arbitrary. It may take you some time, but keep searching. Eventually you will find your place in this world.

You're saying that existence is measurable so how can we believe in something that seems to have no molecules, etc. Right? It's about having faith in that which we can't see. I know how difficult it is for me, being that I'm a person who likes proof, just like you, I bet. Oh, and there are particles of matter (as that found in black holes) that have negative matter. But that's another thing.

I don't think of it as being useless. Try to see it like this - everything is energy. Pure, unadulterated energy. Without energy, there would be no light, no heat, no thought, no action. Your heart would not pump, your blood wouldn't move through your veins. People are giant bundles of energy and solid matter. We generate our own heat and energy all the time. I don't think it's strange, I think it's glorious. Matter without energy is useless, like a junked car. At least, that's how I see it.
