i just had my uterus removed 6 weeks ago (the best decision i made).
this is what i suggest you do;
make sure you tell the Anestassian about your fears come out of the Anestassia - and he'll make sure that it won't be so dramatic coming out of it.
they'll put white thick panty hoses (specially made for during surgery) on your legs to prevent the blood clotting so nothing to worry about this.
you'll be fine and you will feel so much better the more distance you get away from your surgery. good luck

by all means if you have any doubts get a second oppinion. But don't worry everything will be okay. I have had 6 surgurys and was terrifyed of being put to sleep had it in my head that I wouldn't wake up , but I did everytime . it is natural to be afraid and as long as the doctor is aware of your blood clotting disorder then he knows what to do . Just pray and that will help you throught it soon it will be done and over with and you won't even remember your fears. Good luck and hope you are feeling better soon Debbie

Surgery is scary for everyone but everything will be okay. I have had many surgeries and I get scared each time but I am still kickin'. Good Luck!

Oh boy - I'm sorry. It is scary to have surgery, and the anesthesia is the scariest part because you don't know what's going on. Is your blood too thin or does it clot too easily? Your doctor should be setting your mind at rest on all these things.

No. You're having a hysterectomy. It's a perfectly routine procedure. My mom had it, and she did fine. If you have a blood disorder, then your doctor will take extra precautions.
Believe me, you won't wake up in the middle of surgery from the anasthesia. You'll wake up in recovery, but you'll probably be doped up on pain meds.

No, the doctors kinow your condition and will make sure everything goes ok. So try to relax-it'll make the surgery easier.
