the docter wants to do another surgery, putting pins in my fingers. I went to a chiropractor before the surgery and they said he caused the problem in the first place. I believe the doctor who did the surgery cut a nerve. Can anybody tell me what might have caused my hand to close up like this.

I work in a hand surgery center and I would have to say the surgeon probably did screw up. I don't think cutting one nerve can cause you not to be able to open your hand, cutting a nerve would cause numbness. He may have messed with some tendons, or maybe he messed with both. I would get a second opinion before you let this guy put pins in ya. A good doctor once told me "you can always fire a doctor, they are plenty more."

What - the chiropracter broke your wrist? What kind of doctor do you have? Sounds to me like the surgeon is the problem, and you're probably right. There's a condition called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome that causes your hand to close up over a long period of time, but that isn't the case here.
I would sure see another doctor and another surgeon.

Maybe the doctor broke a nerve, or accidentally stitched something shut so it can't move anymore. If it were me, I would sue for negligence, and scandal. If the doctor wants to do another surgery, then that means he's gonna get more money from you. And if you have health insurance, that means that's your hard earned money is going straight down the tubes. And for what? So a doctor can get away with malpractice and cheating his patients out of what they deserve? No no no and no. You don't deserve that. No one deserves to be treated the way he's treating you. So call a lawyer, find a court date, and get what's rightfully yours. Good luck.

I don't think the chiropractor had anything to do with your hand problems: I think some small-minded twit is tring to cause problems for him.

And yes, it is possible the surgeon cut a nerve.

Get a second opinion, find a therapist who can help you regain full use of your hand, and consider a malpractice suit.

Good luck.

You probably need some physical therapy, maybe a splint or something. I'd say, get a second opinion from another orthopedic surgeon. If you don't need the second surgery, or the surgeon doesn't know what he's doing, then you're gonna take even longer to recover.

It does sound like a nerve problem, but you really need to get a 2nd opinion! I wouldn't wait, if it is nerve damage the longer you wait the less likely it will be that it can be fixed!

It sounds like the tendons have tightened up. Try gradual daily stretching of the fingers even if you have to do it with the other hand. I know someone who this happened to.

you need physical therapy...you have a frozen hand...it will take time but you will be alright..

you can start right away, by soaking your hand then messaging it...a couple of times a day...get the joints moving again.

good luck
