The Chippy here isn't shut on a Sunday. You want to move to Scotland - loads of them are open, as are the Chinese, Kebab Shop, Pizza Place - I could have a feast if I wanted.

Yes, I've never understood that. Where I used to live all the chip shops shut on Sunday but the Chinese takeaways were open and they sold fish and chips. I remember being told it was the law but I never found out for sure.

It has something to do the fish I think it was that fishermen don't fish on a sunday

not all where i live there are plenty open and some of these kind of take it aways are open until 2 am and gone
