I have just developed swollen tonsils and they really hurt evertime I swallow or try to eat something. Does anyone know of any treatment or remedy? It would be greatly appreciated!!!

Use warn water add salt and gargle. Don't use hot water but make sure it is between warn and hot. Also if you buy Cloroseptic (or Cepakol tablest) spray from a pharmacy, grocery-store, and sometimes even a gas-station, that would really help you.
To use the spray, stick your tongue out and spray in the back of the mouth, every two hours, don't eat or drink for at least 5 min after spraying.

Try cool drinks, Popsicles, jello...instinct will make you want to go for hot or warm things to sooth, but that will just draw the blood to the surface of your throat and in the long run make the pain worse. Take some Advil or other OTC pain reliever and get to the doctor! Make sure you tell them if you snore or seem to be having alot of congestion..you may need to have those removed. They can tell easily with a xray. Best of luck, hope you feel better soon.

My daughter just had hers taken out after over a year of being swollen. Try hot tea with honey, popsicles are great, ice chips/snocones.
