Well if u really want to make it, to make them feel special. Here is something easy that I usually make.
1.Get a box of rice crispies cereal
2.Pack of marshmellows.
3.Melt marshmellows on the stove in a frying pan and then pour the rice crispies when it turns into liquid form.
4. When they combine together and the rice crispie looks like solid form.
5.Remove it from pan
6.Allow cooling
7.Cut into little squares so there are left overs for the little rugrats.
8.Don't let it get too hard (they need to be soft and chewy)-hint hint, wink wink!!!!
something healthy would be
-carrot sticks and dip with milk or water
-juice and a fruit salad
-Little square sandwhiches
-Cookies and milk
-OREO'S
-salads with a favourite kind of dressing
-crackers and cheese with their choice of drink
-Yogurt, Apple sauce, Fruit Cups
-Something that won't spoil their appetite
-Hot chocolate until supper
-Granola Bars
-Juice Boxes
There are many treats but this is the easiest home made and very fast.
You can also stop at Tim Hortons and pick up some timbits or cookies, which cost money though
Good luck mom!!!!!!(smiley face)

Casadia's
Grated cheese on flour tortillas, microwaved about a minute for each, so the cheese is melty, them slice in half. If you have left over chicken, you can add some with the cheese.
Peanut butter toast with a cup of milk
(Dont make a sandwhich, just a slice of toast w/the peanut butter)
Grilled cheese sandwich's with a piece of fruit
Nacho's
Lay some tortilla chips on a plate, sprinle some grated cheese, any kind, and microwave until the cheese is melted, you can have a side of warmed refried beans if the want to dip them.
Banana Sandwich's
Mash 3 to 4 ripe bananas in a bowl until it looks like a spread, add a pinch of sugar, stir, then spread on toast. My son loves it.

If your kids like to come in, grab something quick and then run back out, why not try a protein shake? I would make this for my kids and they love it! I like to use Spirutein powder (chocolate flavor) and mix it in the blender with skim mild and with a couple of spoonfuls of peanut butter. They call it a Reeses' shake.

I always stick with low sugar, low carb alternatives. Fruit, veggies, nuts, popcorn...mix anything with peanut butter or ranch and it's usually a hit!
