Chapstick no its greasy lol Go to Sally Beauty supply and ask them for Cuticle oil or go online to find the nearest beauty supply store around. Remember you get what you pay for. A good oil is "Creative Solar Oil" its Almond and Jojoba oils that are great for cuticles prices start around 10.00 or look for cuticle softeners from OPI, look online GOOD LUCK

I personally use Burt's Bees. Its a great product, most people can use it because it doesn't contain chemicals that react badly with most people's skin. The tingling is slight, whereas carmax is known feeling as though your lips are on fire. Vaseline wouldn't be too good, I only use it in the winter to prevent cracking of skin from the cold. Vaseline easily carrys germs--I know you don't want that in your mouth! If you're not fond of the tingle Burt's Bees even have a lip balm (burt's bees honey lip balm over the beeswax) that is smoothing. Hope I helped!

try using fresh fruit- I have used organes before something about the natural acid makes your cuticles softer. If you notice, lots of hand creams smell citrusy (like Sally Hansen hand repair). This is a great cheap alternative.
