Yeah whites and blacks use welfare too, but guess what....THEY ALSO PAY TAXES HERE!! So if anyone had the right to get welfare, its the Americans because they pay for it. Why bother comparing? You dont see Americans going into Mexico illegally and living off of them and breaking laws. You cant compare Americans to illegals. We pay the taxes so WE can get the welfare when we fall sometimes. Not cause we dont want to work. Is that fair to even compare us to them when THEY are the ones breaking the law?

You are right to a point Linda. I agree that we shouldnt hire illegals to work here. I am way against that. But I feel like we have our own problems to deal with. Including Americans breaking laws too. Why should we have to take on the problems of those who are here illegally from other countries?

NO, it's not fair to the American taxpayers or to the poor Americans that are turned away. Or the elderly that are having their medical benefits reduced. We have homeless people in the streets with mental illness that need to be taken care of!
$11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year.

You are mistaken when you say that all whites and blacks on welfare pay taxes here. American citizens can get welfare without ever having worked a day in their life. You are also under the misconception that all illegals do not pay taxes. Many illegals have tax id numbers or if they entered the country illegally and are now illegal from over-staying their visa they could have applied for a real SSN and be paying taxes with that number. I know MANY illegals who do. That said, they realize they will never be elligible for any of the services our government offers solely because of their status even though they have paid taxes for years into the system. I don't know any illegals who get welfare. The ones I know personally attend special clinics catering to Spanish speakers. These are not run by the government but by individuals "Spanish-speaking" business entrepreneurs. They are "for-profit" businesses. The illegals I've known who have babies use these clinics and they pay every penny for the services usually to the tune of about $7,000. Perhaps you should think twice before making such blanket statements regarding blacks, whites and illegals.

Okay, so illegal immigrants are collecting welfare and medicaid...haha that just makes the government sound stupid!! What the hell are they doing with their so called intelligence? Illegal Immigrants can't get Medicaid & Welfare...HELLO, you need the proper indentification and paper work to get it, if they are recieving it, the government should be focusing on hiring smarter people. Anyway, If you've come into any country and have gone through the proper paper work, you should get what ever that country offers any other citizens. The welfare thing should be cut out all together regardless of race, to many useless lazy people out there. They should get medical if they are working legally only.

If your question was based in any fact I would support it. However, Illegals can not get welfare. I do not understand how this lie continues to grow!?!?!
Welfare is not easy for a US citizen to get. The paper work is detailed & the proof you need to have is daunting to say the least. It is not possible for someone who is not a citizen to get welfare.
If you dont believe me, call or go to your local welfare office & ask them what is required to get welfare. The first things they will say is a state issued ID and a Social Sec. card. Illegals DO NOT - CAN NOT get either one of these things.
Questions like this one only get people fired up. They dont do anything to solove the crisis of 'illeglas' in the US.

People will say that illegals can not get welfare or other benefits and that is wrong. There are so many different ways to use the system and they know them and use them.
And it is wrong!! If you aren't a citizen you should not have the rights a citizen has.

No, it's not fair. These people are here illegally. They are breaking the law simply by being here. So why should we give them welfare,jobs,homes,schooling or anything. These countries need to take care of their own.It's not fair to the people that immigrated legally, as my spouse did. Illegals are destroying our great country. They have brought with them crime,poverty,and are uneducated people. Anyone wonder why our schools have begun failing?

No, Americans don't go into Mexico illegally and live off of them and break laws. Americans stay here and do that here. They don't have to go to Mexico. They live off illegal aliens and break laws by hiring them here. If Americans didn't hire illegal aliens we wouldn't have this problem. It's the greedy Americans fault, too, for hiring them and also avoiding to pay taxes. They don't hire an American because it will cost them more. If they stop hiring illegal aliens, this problem should stop. Why blame them only?

Right!! And also think about that if they were not using so much gov. money, there would also be more money for the elderly. I would MUCH rather fund all elderly meds and healthcare, housing ,whatever than support ILLEGALS!!
I would rather support a US citizen who is out of a job for a while than pay for ILLEGALS healthcare, schooling, and welfare.
Supporters of illegals are not true americans. I would bet any money that they don't support illegals enough to go home with them.

Im with you 100% i think all illegals should be thrown out and leave the minute men at the border. Besides the tax and social security issues illegals cause, more then half the drugs and crimes in the US are caused by illegals.

You need a valid S.S number in order to qualify for welfare. "Illegals" don't have one, but obviously YOU do. And by the way, Undocumented Immigrants DO pay Taxes. You are VERY, VERY misinformed, so nest time you post a question, do a little more investigation.
