Cipro is usually very effective to treat a UTI (urinary tract infection), though sometimes the bacteria are not sensitive. If you continue to have symptoms despite taking the cipro, see your doctor, it may be appropriate to change your antibiotic (with antibiotics it's usually not a case of what "the best" is so much as what any particular infection is sensitive to.

Cipro is pretty strong stuff... Are you immune deficient? Sometimes it takes a cycle or two depending on what you have and how you got it. Did they check you for syphilis?

Have yourself checked for Cancer too! Better to be safe and catch something like that early...

drink drink drink...cipro like any other atb is effective if the organism is sensitive to it. if your doc didnt do a culture and sensitivity then the bug might not be sensitive to cipro.

Follow through to the last pill. Take them exactly on time. You should take the pills for 10 days.

Don't listen to any quacko alternative medicine crap.

Cipro is not used for ear infections. This is why the receptionist at the doctors office does not do the prescribing!
