As some others have said, your question relates to your concept of God. Your concept of God is probably second-hand stuff, you've picked up along the way. Probably your concept of God, therefore, is nonsense, so it is little wonder that you think it to be so.
What matters in life is what you are capable of experiencing, if you experience something, questions of whether it has a reality beyond your experience, are pointless and academic.
Within all the religious nonsense, there are glimpses of a fact that some people have experienced something, that had a profound effect on them, that they thought to be an experience important enough to try to tell others about. These were ordinary people like you and me, just human beings, so if they were capable of having those experiences, then so are you and I.
Open your mind to the possibility that there is something that you can experience, because you are human, that is more wonderful than anything that you have ever experienced in your life to date. Open your mind to the possibility that you are missing out on something really big, that only requires you to be humble enough to open your hand, your heart, and your mind, a little bit.
Does God exists or not? is not the right question: the question is, can you experience God? I can positively answer "Yes" to that.

It really just depends on what you believe in. If you believe in God, then to an extent, he may be real to you.
If you believe in another God, same thing.
If you believe in only something you believe in, would you tell people that it/he/she is real or not?
Indeed I do not believe in 'the' God, but I think there are many Gods above that God that do not accociate with the earth. Perhaps it's true, perhaps it's not. That's just what I think.
Humans did write the bible, think about it.
( As another thing, I meant this as a joke when I said it to my friend but uhm.. don't take it seriously. If God could make the world and Jesus could heal blind people and make wine out of water, then how come God made humans when he'd know they'd be a lot of F-ups. x.O; Just a joke, remember. Don't take that seriously. )
I believe in spirits, angels, demons, Celestia (heaven), the Netherworld (hell), and such. But I don't think there's a Satan or absolute God. Maybe an Overlord or something that keeps everything in check and make sure nothing too bad comes up.
Not sure. That's my opinion. Ja matta ne. ee;

Well, when you say god, I wonder just what you mean. To me, god is the energy that powers this existence - not male or female, isn't running my life - and I think it is pretty clear that exists.
It is true that most Gods are made up by those who wish to control others (very often lazy men who do not want to till the fields, but would rather sit in the shade and discuss his own ideology) - but remember that belief is a powerful thing, and when a lot of people believe in the same god for a very long time, it seems to gain strength.
Peace!

Well I wasn't raised to believe in any faith but 4 years ago, I was at my friend's baptism, and I met with Jesus, it was a bit of a shock to find my skeptical nature replaced with dumbfounded joy and a kind of ' oh so you mean this is all true then!' and a being filled with peace and love and other good feelings. Nobody prayed for me but I got hit by the Holy spirit, another surprise as I didn't know about him really, and my depression was healed instantly too. I kept this experience fairly quiet for a bit but studied the faith intensely (I'm no thickie, I went to University) and found it to be true. Truth doesn't have to comfortable or pretty or acceptable to you to still be true.

@oxyman42: First of all give me an actual source before you say that.
I personally don't think there is a real way to prove whether or not God exists. There will always be the pro-God people (such as myself) who will always look for ways to prove God's existence just as there will always be atheists who will look for ways to prove God doesn't exist. Up to now I still haven't found any solid proof to support either side, and some of what i hear from atheists (as well as some religious people) seems to be mostly speculation and personal feeling with little or no proof/evidence to back it up.

Why do you think you are going to get a fully comprehensive answer on such an important issue on 'Answers'? This site is used by wierdos as a platform for trivia and abuse in the main. Most people of any intelligence do not dignify your question with a reply and dismiss you as a crank.

Yes... God exists; He's our Creator. Without Him there'd be nothing. Even the 'big bang' was made and the stuff that made the big bang was created; even the things that people make - like plastic comes from God.
EVERYTHING is created by God - it's just simply too complex for our to wrap out tiny self-centered minds around. That's where faith comes in.

Yes God does exist. But do you know what does not exist? Your perception of Him. You dont believe in Him because all you've known of him is a lie

Why don't you mind your own business seeing that you show no respect to Him. Let those who believe continue to find solace in their belief. Do we ever question why you spend your hard earned cash on drugs? No we don't, we believe in tolerance even pardoning such foul-mouthed individuals like you. God bless!
