Yes but because of its size and the relative lack of hair, the back presents an ideal canvas on the human body for Lower back tattoos.

A general rule of tattooing is that if the spot is normally covered by clothing, the skin may be more tender, and thus the lower back might be a more painful spot than others

The outline hurt more than the shading & coloring for me. I've always heard that getting a tatoo anywhere on your body that does not have a lot of fat or muscle is more painful than say on your thigh or butt. I think that must be true because although the whole thing hurt, it was most painful when the tatoo artist went right over my spine. I'm not a big person so there's no muscle, fat, or anything to cushion the needle. All in all, once the guy got started after a couple of minutes it wasn't that bad. I'm sure you can handle it. Just be sure that what ever you get is something that you REALLY want to have with you forever.

Tattoos are a individual feeling. One man or woman will have a quite painful revel in and yet another getting the equal spot can believe no soreness. It quite is dependent upon how your frame handles it, however a well reminder is quite often towards bone and muscle you get the extra it has a likelihood of injuring. Lower again from what I have heard is most of the time no longer that dangerous besides for the backbone. Just keep cozy and speak in your artist, if it begins to harm an excessive amount of given that his traces are too lengthy ask him to quit in brief or take shorter traces. If you begin to believe faint or in poor health permit the man or woman recognise and do not take any soreness killers forward of time. Eat a healthful meal on the time for supper earlier than your appointment and if it is helping, taking a buddy alongside to speak to is a well inspiration. It's no longer wholly insufferable to get a tattoo, after a at the same time the sensation begins to get extra like an disturbing scratchy feeling. You will do satisfactory while you get it performed!

It depends on your tolerance for pain, where on your lower back it is located and the amount of fatty tissue is in that location. I have 2 tattoos on my back. One on my lower back in the center and one in the middle of my back. I also have one on my foot. The foot was the most painful one. There is no fatty tissue on your foot and a lot of nerve endings. It was the worst 20 minutes of my life but I love it. The one on my lower back pinched and tickled for me. I have a low tolerance for pain but for some reason I giggled the entire time I was getting this one done. The one in the middle of my back is fairly big so parts tickled and parts were very painful. It depends on the detail, if you are getting color and if you are going to get a white outline. Certain styles and the different types of needles they use hurt more than others.

YESSSSSS!!! It hurts bad. I mean I can think of other things that hurt more, but it doesnt feel good.. no where near good. And if its a wide one the closer the tattoo gets to your sides (hip area) it hurts more & more mine starts in the middle, all the way at the bottom and comes out about 3 1/2 inches.. that sh%t hurts..

I have one on my lower back. The outline was a little painful, but the shading wasn't that bad. Its nothing you can't handle.

It hurts anywhere you get it... its just that the thicker, fattier, meatier parts of you body tend to hurt less... and the bonier and thin skinned parts tend to hurt more.
