Try a safe, herbal dietary supplement. Not something like hydroxycut or trimspa. Those have far too much guarana and will leave you jittery.

But there is nothing wrong with using a safe, natural supplement with a little guarana to help kick start a new and healthy lifestyle. There is a really great one I personally use called Lipofemme. It's helped me to not overeat--espescially during the night. It's herbal so there is not any bad side effects.

Exercising will actually regulate your appetite as well. If you add weight training to your current exercise schedule, you'll notice a change in your eating habits. It's a way of regulating your body's metabolism.

Try to substitute food for an activity you like most (and not an activity that concerns food). Try to take walks, exercise, or just do things around the house that you like a lot. For example, if you like gardening, make plans to have a beautiful garden, and work at that instead of thinking "what's for dinner?".
Also, try this plan and see how it works for your lifestyle. It'll help you to control your eating habits for good; and allow you to lose excessive weight.

1.)Eat around 1200-1400 calories per day. Choose from vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and lean meats. No complex carbs, fats, or sugars, like donuts or bagels. If you can eat 1000 a day, you'll see faster results. Since you want to lose that much, it is going to take a little bit of sacrifice.

2.) Drink eight 8 oz glasses of water a day. A lot of water will flush fat like no diet pill out there, the natural way. Not only will it flush away unwanted fat, but it'll supress your hunger so that you'll crave water instead of chips or ice cream.

3.) Stick to a reasonable exercise plan that fits your lifestyles. Whether it's 30 minute sessions or an hour, if you exercise 4 days in a week, you'll blast a ton of calories, have more energy, and keep yourself in shape for as long as you can live.

4.) Get enough sleep every night. Studies show that people who slept 7-8 hours or more lost 25% more weight than just with exercise and diet alone. So, savor those sleep-in days!

When you find yourself over-eating stop and think about why you are engaging in the habit. Most of the time it is emotional rather then the physical desire for food.

Once you realize why you are over-eating, you can take steps to fix the emotional need you are trying to fill.

Do you eat when you do something?

Like when I watch t.v. I usually have to eat something, in that case, you should find something else to do.

Or try to snack on something heavy. Becareful with midnight snacks, it is easier to gain weight when you eat something at night, your stomach does not digest as well.
