I believe it's all like a kids story too. Good morals - in places - but easily forged and manipulated. If there's a real truth, it would be too shocking and advanced for mere humans. And may not even be about mans struggle. You don't know what wants humankind to be passive.

Bearing in mind that the bible is mostly myth and legend with a bit of somewhat distorted history thrown in, it may make a basis for teaching ethics to a primitive society but most of it is lost in the modern world.
It's time to study religion as an aspect of anthropology and psychology, not as reality.

The "fall" of man is the result of a negative view of history, not of an innate evil.

you're operating from countless pretend premises. a million. God does no longer tell "us" now to not kill in the ten commandments. If I believed in a god like that, I would wholeheartedly agree.People have used religion as a license to make them voyeristic sadists.
And it will never change until we all accpet our own Godhood.Follow the example of the rebel Gods in the mythos of the world's religions (Satan, Lucifer, Prometheus, Dionysus, Melek Taus, Et al) and it will be YOU that you see seated on the celestial throne above all of the bleating sheep who will beg you for your favors.
