It depends greatly on the cause and if this is deterioration or atrophy. Your information is inadequate.

Tigger has some good points. You need to find out what is causing the deterioration. And you need to exercise everyday at least 15 minutes to slow the atrophy.

I have Multiple Sclerosis...not Muscular Dystropy....and if I don't stretch or do some sort of exercise everyday then my muscles get very tired and sore. Exercise is very important.
Also, you need to make sure you are drinking enough water everyday too. 1/2 gallon a day! People say it's a lot but it really isn't hard. Also, I take Vitamin B Complex. It helps ALOT!!!!! for me at least.

What's causing the deterioration?

Try a little gentle exercise. If nothing else, it will slow the atrophy.

There is only one thing I know of and that is to only eat healthy foods,Like fruits,veggies,fish,and skin less chicken...
