My husband and I live in a small apartment building (only 4 apartments) and we have a neighbor that has no regard for every one else. Each one of the other neighbors has asked her to keep it down and she never listens - doesn't care, we think. What should we do next? Talk to the landlord?

I should add that we live in Mexico and here there is no such thing as calling the cops for disturbing the peace. Unfortunately. Believe me, if we could, we would've done that long ago.

You have all voiced your opinions go to the landlord he or she receives enough complaints from you and the other two residents they'll talk to him or trow them out it is their prerogative for disturbing the peace on their property.

You must put it in writing to the landlord, then the landlord must act on it. If it is after 10pm when she is disterbing you call the police and they will do something. Every time she disturbs, put it in writting to the landlord ( see if you can get the other tenants to do this as well or if not perhaps they will also sign your letter). If the landlord get more than one letter he will do something about her. If he does not then you have grounds to go to the rental tribunal, or land lord tennant dispute office and file a complain and he will have to do something. Good luck, PS i would mail her a photo copy of the letter you give to the land lord. thus she might think twice about the noice or just move because she is tired of being hasseled(ha) at least that is what she will say .Good luck

I am an Apartment Manager and if a resident has a problem similar to yours I (as the Landlord) issue a 7 day notice to cure which means, they have 7 days to cure the problem. If they do not, the Landlord has the right to tell them to vacate their apt. Not sure about the laws in your country, look what happened to Dog, The Bounty Hunter........... Good Luck

i had the same situation..but i guess it was worse cause we heard them having sex every night for like 10 hours. so you do need to talk to the landlord and if she still continues to be loud usually they get fined by the landlord. if that doesn't happen..revenge is always fun. team up with the other tenants and blast your music loud early in the morning and late at night. middle of the night bang on the walls, or do something that will bother her even more than she bothers you. you should really try that cause it's a lot of fun...that's how i got my neighbors to shut up.

most apartment complexes HAVE to kick someone out after 3 complaints by other residents. i have loud neighbors above me too and sometimes i can't stand it and just wanna go up there and pound on the door. actually i might do that next time, pound on the door and when they answer it just say sorry wrong apartment and when they close the door...do it again, just pound away and do it over and over until they get a clue. i also get up on the couch and pound on the ceiling...i know they can hear it upstairs

i could initiate with the condominium supervisor. in case you are able to checklist the noise till now you attitude the administrative, that should be even greater effective. Make notes for a million week of the cases and era of the noise. Then additionally make notes as to once you seek advice from the administrative. try this every time you seek advice from them approximately this. the reason you prefer to try this's so as that if the subject isn't resolved in a lifelike volume of time, you are able to push the owner to interrupt your hire in case you have one and flow. I honestly have found out my lesson approximately coming near acquaintances approximately something--do no longer pass directly to the neighbor! continually use an middleman. That way, they are going to by no skill know who complained and you will no longer might desire to subject as lots approximately retaliation. And regrettably, people who behave this way will in lots of cases retaliate, so be arranged. people like that make life so grotesque! stable success.

It depends on what time they are making noise. If during the day I recommend turning on some music you enjoy and making it loud enough you can't hear them.

Too bad you can't call the cops.
