Are you for or against legal immigration? For. It's legal and adds to our diversity.
Are you for or against illegal immigration? Against. I would like the people who want to live in our country to abide by our laws.
If you are against illegal immigration, what if we could filter out people trading drugs and terrorists...then would you be for it? No. The very act of immigrating illegally still makes it wrong.
Have you ever applied for a job and they turned you down because the position was already filled by an immigrant? No. My existence is white collar, and few illegal immigrants are trying to get white collar jobs.
Are your ancestors immigrants? (this answer will be yes unless you are 100% Native American) Yes. Of course.
Do you have any friends that are from different countries that live in the USA? Yes. I have a bunch of friends from Mexico, and a few Friends from various Asian and European countries.
Have you ever been outside of the USA? If so, where? I have traveled around Mexico some. I have also been over to the British Isles.
Would you be willing to pick grapes for $3.00/hr for 10 hrs/day? No. No one working in the country should be willing to do that.
Would you be willing to be a janitor? Only if I really had to.
If you knew you would not be able to eat for 1 week, would you walk 100 miles to get food? Yeah. Why not.

well I'm from Canada and i would like to go to the USA but because of illegal aliens i cannot go why? because the laws become tougher to all those that desire to emigrate.
i have a sister and some family in America,
now we in Canada are skilled and professionals, I'm a PC technician and an industrial electronics technician, besides i hold a diploma in fabrication.
would i be useful for the American economy i guess yeah just look at the numbers of Canadian nurses and doctors that each year emigrate to the USA, laws should be different Canada export skill and professional workers
we in canada have also about 200,000 to 350,000 inmigrants a year even we have ships and and airplanes landing in remote areas of our country with ilegal aliens .in america and canada is not such thing as a 100% canadian or american unless the person is american indian or inuit(skimos). we are all inmigrants and our forefathers came from europe or south of the border now the country is colapsing because of mega inmigration daily .
the best solution would be to deter people from taking over the system just like in canada when people comes to canada ilegalli and they dont have a social they cannot get a job , rent buy a car,get a license or study , so the canadian goverment practically force the ilegal aliens to become legal and registered once they have a case they are processed and given temporal status for 3 years they cannot collect welfare for the first 10 years in canada as a penalty; they are given temporary social numbers and they can drive and rent they cannot have any major police record or infraction during the first 10 years or they will be call before a judge and or be deported inmediatelly.
nobody hires and ilegal person or their bussiness could be auctioned to best bidder, also inmigrants who enter illegaly would have to pay a fine of 2500 dollars each that could be paid using their income tax return wich is deducted from un til paid in full also they have housing probided by the goverment at a lower cost so they can get ahead and buy or rent on their own.
in that way inmigrants have a better chance of succes.
a lesson from canada where we have 0% ilegal persons and when they come and find that the rules are follow by everyone they either become legal or return home.
i think the usa should try doing the same as canada.

i am for immigration, my mother was illegal until a church organization helped her file for amnesty and give us (her kids) a chance at a better life. if all the immigrants were given a chance to legal entry for work i think it help the economy by increasing production. it woul lower the incident of deaths that could be prevented. it would be a good idea if the U.S. government would trade visas to immigrants for at least 2 years in the military working for our government, helping our country (in one more way), then come back to the states with a visa, training and ready to be a productive US citizen/occupant.

I'm going to ask again, please stop grouping immigrants in with Illegal aliens. You are spitting on millions of immigrants who have worked and given up everything in their lives to come here and make a better life for themselves and their families, and they have done it LEGALLY. And yes I'm against Illegal Aliens and want them all deported today,.
