Okay, every morning I have to work out for at least ten minutes before I go to work. I will either do situps, pushups etc. or workout to a Pilates, Cardio or Yoga dvd. If I don't, my day will be SIGNIFICANTLY worse. My mind is foggy, Im tired and lethargic and cant do anything. Even if I skip one day of working out this happens. And I am on Concerta for ADHD which has improved this overall but the exercise part makes all the difference!

Whats up with me??

Well as you may know, working out causes endorphins, these send signals to your brain and SERATONIN (or SERATOTIN?) is released...This makes you feel good...
No, You're probably not addicted, and it is really good for you.
I just watched a show, I do not recall exactly what.
I think it was on the Discovery channel, it was about these kids in a RELIGIOUS SCHOOL OR ORPHANAGE...
Some were diagnosed with various ,"disorders", including, ADD, ADHD, Bi-Polar...etc.
They ran ,for like four or five miles a day, the Nuns out there running with them.
They said it helped the children so much, that it was like the difference between night and day... if the children did not run or excercise they were less focused, and more agressive or angry or just distant, and difficult to reach or talk to.
Had less FOCUS.
So hey, you know it is good for you & makes you feel good...
Addicted?
Maybe in some sense, our body loves the natural high we get from the endorphins released when we work out...
If you are ADDICTED to workin out...EXCELLENT!!!
There are," far worse", things to be addicted to.
And if it helps you to concentrate and feel good throughout the day, why worry.
GOOD FOR YOU.
Keep it up.
I need to get off my butt and workout every morning.
good day.
Nothing is wrong with you.
I think that is pretty cool.

Hey look at the bright side, I HAVE TO not by choice wake up at 5:30 be at work at 5:45 and work out at work from 630 to 800 which is ok if it was the work out i'd wanna do but it usualy ends up running for an hour then pushups dips pullups chinups crunches for the rest of the 30 min. But that's life in the army................... To answer your question... you wanna be addicted? Cause it's all in ur head... Honestly i think it's a good addiction to want to work out

I hadnt heard of this but it would seem to me that they may exchange the vouchers for drugs. They should not be given incentives. They receive more help and support than anyone with any other addiction (cigarettes, alcohol etc) and 9 times out of 10 it is all a waste of time. It would be better just to give them as much heroin as they like and allow them to overdose.

And this is a problem?. It's not like you're working out 3 hours a day. Excessive working out is a problem that some people have, however is more relates to a situation where they are never happy with their body. It's so bad that it hurts their love life, even if the practice results in them having a sexy body.

You are absolutely doing the right thing with your morning workouts.
I also am ADHD and find exercise also makes a big difference for me.
Recent medical studies support the idea that exercise helps... You've intuitively found that out for yourself.
Keep it up, and good luck!

Since you have ADHD, you probably find somekind of activity that will get you active. It's not like your obssesed with exercising, but that's considered your activity of the day for you to be in right spirits.
If it's really bothering you, go to the doctor, and tell him to give you a stronger medication for you to control your "activitiness".

You are addicted to the endorphins that your body produces when you workout. That is a good thing. The amount of time you spend working out is in no way alarming.

Gettting your day started with excercise isnt being addicted to it.....alot of people do...why do you think they have all those excercise shows on in the morning??? Excercise also gets blood pumping and your brain needs all the blood it can get so it also helps you to concentrate and focus more than people who start their dy off slow!
