If god knows himself, he must realise he epitomises all kinds of bullying. From wife/husband-beating to dictatorship.

Shadowmyu, yet again you have sense on your side. Alas, some god is not a human with human emotions and hurdles.

Ahhh the euthyphro dilemma Teehee.

The answer is we created the God/gods therefore we decided that was right and wrong, probably based on what seemed best for us at the time.

You are so clever! "Right" and "wrong," as the serpent said, (Gen. 3:5) is a concept for people with no "life" (Gen. 3:3), who get sucked into passing judgment on others (Gen. 3:1), and can't find their way back (Gen. 3:23).

Our idols in society, fashion, politics, games and the media are defining right and wrong based on what's good for them --not you or me! So, of course, the standards are always changing, as people change and grow! Keeping up is difficult, and expensive. At least the Judeo-Christian Creator God is tough enough to say:

"I change not." (Mal. 3:6) "I have sworn by Myself." (Gen. 22:16, Is. 45:24, Jer. 49:13) "I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create evil." (Is. 45:7) "I am the way, the truth and the life." (John 14:6) "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne even as I also overcame... " (Rev. 3:21)

Freedom never was supposed to be about "right and wrong." In the end, the losers will hear this one explanation: "I never knew you." Matt. 7:23

I think you've misunderstood the concept of God, although a God that doesn't know themselves what is right and wrong might make for a less dogmatic approach to religion. In most concepts of God at least they know because the know everything!

Easy peasy. What is right for God is that which benefits him, and what is wrong is that which does not. Just as with all forms of life, self-preservation is the name of the game.

I don't condemn or condone it. It's just a fact of life.

Your question suggests that you have some misconceptions. It is only people who have concepts about right and wrong, and people who have concepts about God or gods, and people who have concepts about religion, and even follow particular religions, dogmas, codes, etc. You are just looking at all these false concepts, and getting tangled up in them.

What you need is to find truth not bark at falsehoods.

God created all things, and gave us life. I think he has all the right to make up whats right and what's wrong. and he based it mostly on his own personality traits, like how he doesn't lie, steal, cheat, get quick to anger, etc.

A parent gives rules for their children. how much more so does the universal sovereign and father have the right to choose what is right and wrong for his earthly children!

My God has never really made distinction of right and wrong although threr are people who think God did.

God determined good and bad as it relates to God's will of life, abundant and joyful life.

Who told you (or what made you decide) that the religion that you belong to (or lack there of) is right or wrong? And compared to what other religions?
