I'm right there with you. Besides getting grumpy, I also get a headache from lack of caffeine.
I have fixed that though for when I go to work. We aren't allowed coffee makers in my office anymore since some idiot left thiers on and almost caused a fire.
Folger's and Maxwell House have individual coffee bags. They are like tea bags but they are coffee. I keep a box of them at my desk now. They are pretty good. Try keeping those around for a quick cup.

I stopped drinking coffee when I left the miltary. I could not stand a spoon up in the cup in civvie life. But, I had some strange symptoms. I tried to strangle my wife. (She called the cops.) When I got out of jail I tried to strangle the average buttonhead. (Then used my running skill from the service to get lost before the cops showed up!) Eventually, I grew out of it. I no longer drink coffee. Now I drink beer. Much better choice since a can of beer costs less than a cup of coffee. And all the beer does is make me sleepy, not pissed at everything.

Depends upon how much you need to drink. Do you measure it by cups..............or gallons? LOL
Seriously, you are addicted if you stop cold turkey and get headaches, stomach is irritated, you are grouchy, have a hard time sleeping or getting awake in morning if you don't have your cup. Parade Mag in sunday paper has an article today that talks about good effects of coffee.........IF you don't drink TOO MUCH.

Listen, man. I feel your pain. This is a very serious addiction and it's vital that you break it....and FAST! Every time you want coffee get hot cocoa. Not decaf coffee or tea, hot cocoa. Have coffee only on the weekend. It worked for me and I hope it does you justice as well. My prayers go out to you, my friend.

I'm addicted too. Coffee is kinda bad for you if you drink alot of it (at least for me it is) so I had to switch to green tea. It still gives you that fix but with a lot less caffeine plus it's actually good for you (anti-oxident stuff). But I tell ya, I still miss my coffee. Especially Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Caffeine is a stimulate. If you're only drinking 1 to 3 cups, don't worry about it. If I don't have mine, I get a headache.
