My GF and I have been going out for a week. I really like her and we have so much in common. Im a Junior in high school and She is a freshman. I just turned 16 a month ago and she is 13 but is 14 in one month. Do you think im to old for her? Some of my friends think we are "cute" together and others think its weird and wrong because there is like a 2 or 3 yr age difference.
How do i deal with my friends? and is she too young?

She will only be to young when you are over 18 and she is under the age of 18. Other than that, no she isn't to young. My husband is 5 years older than me. My step father is 15 years older than my mom. My step grandfather is 11 years younger than my grandma. If you are happy and its legal, age doesn't matter.

No, I don't think you are to old for her. A lot of married couples have up to a ten year old age difference! Besides girls are naturally more mature then guys, so that two- three year old age difference could be beneficial, because you both are probably on the same maturity level. Plus, if you really like her, age is of little importance. As for your friends, they're just teasing you. They'll leave it alone after a while. Some of them might find themselves in the same boat later and you can give them a hard time. Good luck with your relationship!

It all depends on you two. Some girls go for guys who are older because they are mature for their age and if they look in their own age group they see immature little boys. All of your friends will have their own opinion about it, and there is nothing you can say that will stop them. If they are jerks about it and don't even try to understand are they really your friends? I think that 2 or 3 years is hardly an age difference at all, since it is a proven fact that guys mentally mature about 2 or 3 years behind girls. So really, you are at the same level. Lots of luck =')

A two year age gap isn't weird. But wait until she's 14 and always understand 13 and 14 yr old girls are still pretty immature for the most part and are consistantly changing their minds.

That's a two month and two year age difference. That's a hanging offense! No, seriously...some of your friends are happy for you and the others are jealous. You should take it slow with her, though. Fourteen needs to grow up a bit and taking things too fast can cause big problems.

Age doesnt matter. long as u both connect and really like eachother what should age have anything to do with it?
There are definatley thousands out there that have girlfriends/wives 3yrs younger than them. I know someone who's 14yrs. younger than her spouse and they've been married for over 15years!!!!! Ur friends should respect your opions and choices, but if they dont i wouldnt be calling them your "friends"

If there's not a big difference in maturity and if it's not something you have to hide from her parents, go for it.
Don't listen to your friends.
Do what makes you and your girlfriend happy, as long as it's not hurtful to your families. Be honest about it with her parents and yours. If it's out in the open, that gives it the best chance to work.

It just depends on how comfortable YOU and HER are with the age gap...I personally don't see a problem as long as you appreciate she mightn't be ready to do some of the things older girls are ready for.....So please don't make her grow up too because I know what that is like and its not fun... But on the first subject if you are both comfortable its fine!!!!
