Bad posture or alignment can have a dramatic effect on the nervous system..particularly with the autonomic nervous system. Bringing about vaso and pupillary dilation. Of course this would increase the blood flow to the entire body. Make you subject to bright lights bothering you. Among many other symptoms, controlled by the autonomic nerve supply. You may even experience reduced clarity in thought processes. Not sufficient to cause bad grammar. But would make it more difficult to find the words you want to use.

The problems with the head would be the result of insufficient blood supply to the brain..This will come about if there is rotation of the C.1 vertebra. The blood supply to the brain is carried by the artery which must pass through 2 holes in that vertebra.. if it has any restriction, there will be less blood supply to that area.

I don't know about actual swelling. But my mother has had problems with both her back and with migraines all her life. I don't think it's coincidence.
