I dont want an ordinary toothbrush with the straight-flat edge, more like the flexible version and reach in all places. Rechargeable batteries, minty flavor toothbrush, a free sample of recommended toothpaste when it is sold, the toothbrush doesn't become that over-worn.

Make sure that the head on the toothbrush has soft bristles and is small enough to fit into your child's mouth. The handle must be small enough to be easily grasped by the child, but yet comfortable for you as well, which is necessary for when it comes time to "help" brush the teeth. It should also not be too heavy so that is hard for your child to maneuver, but most are not. Most children's powered toothbrushes are battery operated and are only meant to last for a short period of time (which is fine since your should be replacing the toothbrush every four months anyway)

If you want to get a bit more expensive, some have rechargeable batteries and interchangeable brush heads.

Some battery powered toothbrushes also have cartoon characters on them, which may help to make brushing more fun.

Regardless of the type or style of toothbrush chosen for your child, you should interact them and also assist them to make brushing fun, yet through. Make sure to teach your child how to brush all surfaces of the teeth, including the tops (occlusal), fronts, backs and the tongue.

Happy toothbrush hunting!
