I had blonde and brown highlights that looked really nice. I was bored of them so decided to go brunette for the winter and had low lights put in on Thursday. It looks very dark and very harsh and has red in it too and to be quite frank I hate it.
I want to have my highlights put back in tomorrow as Im going away for a week....Is it possible to put the highlights back in and will it ruin my hair???
Please help as Im so miserable with the dark hair.

You probably just need time to get used to it. I went from black to platinum blonde and I wanted to cry, although now I adore my hair. Putting bleach etc in your hair so soon after it was done will ruin it. I believe the colour would turn quite brassy. Bleach 'lifts' hair colour out of the folicle going through various stages of colour - black, orange, blonde (with shades of those inbetween). It is most likely that your dark colours would go to orange without it falling off. Wait a wee bit and if you still dont like it go lighten it - it should be ok after the colour fades a bit.

as youve already had low lights recently it means that the hair probably wasn't bleached so i don't think there would be a problem with having highlights put in by a proffessional hairdresser. I would'nt attempt to do it yourself though as that's where you can quite easily damage your hair
