I think you're saying your mom told your stepdad?
its your sister problem, shes going to have to deal with it you shouldnt be the messenger or have to keep secrets. and what exactly would your step dad do? he isnt ya'lls father so really he isnt in the position to be saying things. Its your mom's responsibility.
