There was a family who lived in a circular house. There was a mom, dad, 2 kids, a butler and a grandma. They all woke up 1 morning and the father was dead. The mom said she was shopping. The kids said they were at their friends' houses. The butler said he was preparing dinner. The grandma said she was knitting in the corner.

I would say the grandmother because she said she was knitting in the corner and there arent any corners in a circular house. On a circular house there are just circles.and really anyone of them or all of them couldhave killed him in the moring kids at their friends house? butler preparing dinner in the morning? and mom shopping in the morning? kind of strange isnt it? then dont forget the grandma knitting in the corner that doesnt exist unless they found him outside and where was the corner grandmanwas knitting in?did they have a barn a shed?what ? there are many different senerios here. Oh well if they all woke up one morning then when did they have time to do those things like go shoping kids at a friends house butler making dinner was it a weekend or during the week ?and if they all woke up who indeed killed him unless it was in the evening before bed then anyone of them could have done it

The question is flawed in many ways.
"They all woke up." - 'They' would include ALL of the mentioned but the father could not have woken up dead.
"The Alibis" - Who shops while they're sleeping? How were the kids at they're friends house but woke up at their house? Why was the butler preparing dinner if everyone was sleeping? Since we know the butler was preparing dinner, there was either a stove, refrigerator, or counter. Any one of these could have created a corner for the grandma to have been knitting in.
The real answer - It was a heart attack.

They are all lying. except for Grandma. Yes, the house is circular but we have all heard of walls inside a house making plenty of corners for Gram's to knit.
My guess is the Butler, cause it's always the Butler who did it.
