...a bunch of letters that she had written to you over the years when she was single. Love letters she wrote to her anonymous future husband about how much she loved him and was excited to meet him. Not a journal or anything, just a few letters from various points in her life leading up to the day she met you. What do you think? Cheesy? Sweet? I'm not really sure myself.

Sorry, I guess the question was a little vague. I'm not planning on getting married anytime soon. I read about this though, and I thought it was extremely sweet. I was just wondering if other people felt the same way or if I was just being overly sentimental...

Pretty sweet. Maybe you can include some letters during the time that you two were dating also. That way he knows you aren't just feeling it about some anonymous future husband but about him.

That is so sweet. Keep in mind though I am a girl. Guys sometimes get weird about things that girls think are sweet. I would give him the letters if I were you. This is your future husband, the guy you wrote all those letters for, go for it.
It will let him know that you have been planning to be married and commited to someone wonderful like him for a long time.

It was in the universe . You where the one she was wishing for . She wrote everything down that she saw in the perfect man . I assume you are the one . We all have a idea about who we are going to marry . Some of us just think about it . Others like your girl there write it down . You should be very honored that she trusted your love for her to let you even see the letters . I don't really know why you would ask the question . She is not strange . She is in love . With you .

I personally would think it was cheesy, but I am not a sentimental person. But I know many people who are sentimental that would love that. So I guess it just depends on the guy.

I don't know.. Maybe she's trying to come clean or something. Love letters to other boy friends? Even though there from the past reading them might piss a person off.

I think it's very sweet. And think of the level of trust she must have in you to show you something so private and potentially embarrassing. She just offered you quite a gift. Appreciate the thought. If the letters are sappy, so what? These letters are the expression of her dreams, and that must mean that you're the man of her dreams.
Whaddya think of them apples? ;-)
Congratulations and good luck.

I guess that you have to consider the source: is this gal a real girly-girl, and a mentally stable believer in happy fate/coincidence? Then it makes sense.
But if she's odd, needy and high strung? Ugh. Not a good thing.

I think it would be really sweet. If you like that idea, you'd probably love the song, we played at my wedding. It's called "Faithfully" by Eric and Leslie Ludy. It's about how this couple, waited for each other, even before they knew each other.

I have heard of that. I think it is very sweet and intimate. And what a declaration of love! How could the guy not feel so loved?

It should make you smile to htink that your soon to be wife thought of you before she even met you. Alot of girls do that when they're single. It makes those long years of "waiting for mr. right" seem like they aren;t so "wasted". It may be alittle odd to you, but just be glad you found a girl who put so much into your relationship before you even met her. Congrats on the engaement!
