Local or systemic? In systemic the death is probably renal failure. Local amyloidosis of heart can cause failure.

My dad dies of this three years ago. The cause of his death was kidney failure resulting from the amaloyd crystals "clogging" up the kidneys. It can attack any organs and the actual cause of death can vary from person to person.
