so very specific! is it always shaking? your exhaust pipe might be touching the frame of your car, causing it to shake constantly when the engine is running (my cars problem, on a lesser scale). you really should post more info so that people here could thoroughly help you, though.

it depends on if it is shaking just as your idling or actually moving, usually if it is when you are going down the freeway then it needs an alignment. the best way to tell is if you can go to lets say 40 to 50 and then it starts shaking after accelerating to a higher speed it is definatley in need of alignment. I dont know what it is if it does it when idling.

Unbalanced tire? Stretched tie rod end? Allienment perhaps? Uneven tire pressure? Broken band in the tire? Bad strut?
Where to start? Worn wheel bearing? Worn shocks? Best to bring in to tire shop. They will point out what is wrong. A reputable tire shop that is.

Good luck...

Could be you need a front end alignment. Or your tires need balancing. You should not drive far without having it looked at. Don't take it to Sears. You could have something more serious going on in front suspension, hopefully not.

check your tires, you may have one out of balance. or you may need new ones. If that isn't the problem, you should take it in to be checked out.
