Jesus taught us to come to Gog through His name (Jesus)

Joh 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Joh 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Joh 16:26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
Jesus is our intercessor between God and us .We go to God through Jesus.

When your praying to Jesus, your praying to God too. Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit are the same being. It's kind of like water. Water can be steam, ice or hot water, but in the end, its still just water! Thats how God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are like. It may just be what the church usually doe's. But remember, if your praying to Jesus, your praying to God too!

As to why is a long story! But you are correct in praying to The Father he will never lie to you. Just like the Messiah said if you do not know the Father the neiter do you know the son. Praying to the Father in the holy spirt and in the name of his son. Is how i have always understood it. if you pray to jesus you are praying to a man.

no one can kill God nor does he pray to himself.

God himself said he is not the son of man.

The messiah is our best example of the Father
it like if my dad had a good reputation and i follow that example then when you have seen me you see also my Dad.

Because Jesus is God,
1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

you should find an Oneness Apostolic or UPC church

You should pray to the Father[God] in Jesus Christ name. Jesus is the intercessor for us to the Father.

Because Jesus is our covering...we pray in the name of Jesus...

this is why Jesus went to the cross...to die for us...and, his blood covers our sin...so, when we ask in the name of Jesus, God no longer sees us as a sinner...Jesus is God he is part of the holy trinity...Father, Son and the Holy sprit...

god bless,

"J" the tenth letter of the English alphabet, has no ancient ancestor, unless, as a recent variant of "I" and "i" ...Not until the sixteenth century was any systematic effort made to differentiate vocalic "i" with the sign "i" and consonantal "i" with the sign "J" "J" the capital, was introduced at that time...

The name Jesus is not even a transliteration. It is a corruption of a transliteration of a Hebrew word which had the mighty and powerful Name of Yahweh removed from its original meaning.

More pagan godworship. Yahshua said to worship Yahweh!

Revelation 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship Yahweh.
